I have to ask this of all those that have posted an average of 7 hours a day over 3 or more months.
If you play this game for 7 hours a day & I make the assumption that you either have a job or go to a school that then takes up another 8 hours, then you have already used up 15 hours of the day.
Assuming even a really small amount of sleep per day like 5 hours only leaves you 4 hours to eat, bathe, hang out with friends, play sports, etc...
Assuming a normal sleep of 8 hours a day leaves you only 1 hour.
Does anyone apart from me see how this might be a bad thing?

It's going to be some factor of X hours < hours since release. Big deal. You might as well ask how many faction points do you have. Or XP. It doesnt really mean anything other than saying "I play a ton...I play a lot...I play somewhat...I don't play that often".
And the net result means...nothing. It's not even interesting if you understand my statement above.
Oh, speaking of which, I play somewhat/a lot. Because some of you care? *sigh*
P.S. If you think I'm wrong, go back and look at old discussios of game elements, skills, farming. Then go and find an old thread about 'how long have you played'. What you'll find is that the old 'hlhyp' thread means nothing now. It's already out of context due to it being relative to the posting date. And even that isn't 'interesting'.
Oh. If I'm wrong, please try to tell me in the most insulting manner you can. At least the flames might make for some interesting reading in here.
Cheers.

Mind if I help you? What you obviously want to say is this: "I play too much and I'm looking for lame excuses."

What you're implying is the standard sterotype that because it's pixels, its not real. Once the MMO and its other hybrids came into existance, this was no longer fully true. There are REAL people you're playing with, whether it's as healthy as meeting people IRL, I'll leave to professional philosophers.
So long as you're investing real time, relating to real people... the things you see are just projected light, but then again, so is 'real life', just reflected light. It's a different mindset so I don't ask you to conform or change your view, but that is why some people wouldn't say it was bad.
1650 over 7months, anyway.

while i was going for the 800 in my august '05 post i now have around 2,400hours on my primary account, secondary somewhere around 600-700 methinks.
(my monk goes for the 1,000hours - and she is NOT a farmer, those are ~60% "helping-others" hours - rest GvG and adventuring )
so much time passed by since release - yet, so much fun: i don't regret a thing. ^^ Guardians, shine on!
lately i find myself beeing more in tamriel than in tyria. O_o

@drake: oblivion on a pc may be hungry for decent hardware but playing in 1024x768 or 1280x1024 still beats ANY tv with ntsc or pal resolutions and most hdtv's can't compete with the glory of most of the nicer 19-21'' screens. X_x

3,495 and 25 min over the last 11 months - and it just changed from 10 months to 11 at the end of the factions event. Does my 2 beta-weekend events count too?
Yes, those are hours played, if you have 5 hours to clear fissure-count me in !
